13 miles around Leicester hills

Sunday’s 5 am start looked bleak, dirty grey sky, rainy and humid with the planned run route heading over most of the Charnwood hills race course. A race I’ve ran since 2008, always brutal, mainly muddy and as the title suggest really hilly. You’re going up or coming down pretty much the whole 14 miles.

The 3 highlights being bradgate park’s old John, broombrigs farm and beacon hill. I ran from home so I missed beacon hill but took in some smaller ones on the way, they collectively formed part of a 13 miler. The video clips below are of bradgate and broombriggs, they are pretty shaky so be warned!
